The following is a list of resources our Research team has found to understand the current American mass incarceration and how it has played out here in Washington State

  1. Today I met and talked to a woman that I had become penpals with. She has been in prison for 20 years and still has 17 more of she does not loose her good behavior time. She is the first to admit that when she first arrived, she was pure wildcat and did the time accordingly. But she has changed, she has become aware of her actions in the past as well learned to control her impulses. And then I find out that there is no system in place where she can go to show that her rehabilitation has been successful and would like to be considered for early release.

I am having a hard time trying to wrap my head around the system that is in place here. Think about it… Charles Manson has committed much more horrendous crimes and yet, he gets to go before a parole board.

    This has to change.
